October 26, 2015 in Poltava Oblast In-service Teacher Training Institute there was a training for sivic activists, parental ngo's, teachers and school administration "From the dialogue toward cooperation: probems of the school education from the perspective of parents and educators". The training was organised by the Institute of Education Development, supported by Education Support Programm (OSF, Budapest). November 16, two days seminar on new edition draft Law on Education elaborating has started its work. During the seminar issues on structure of education, national qualification framework, modernization of VET institutions network; models and mechanism of financing of secondary, vocational and higher education; quality of secondary and vocational education ensuring mechnism; analyses of international practices are going to be dicussed.

The discussion on Road Map of Education Reform took place in October 29, in Lviv obast In-Service teacher training institute . The document was elaborated by Strategy Advisory Board at the Ministry of Education and Science.

Representatives of Lviv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhya, Bila Tserkva and Zhytomyr Insitutes, Lviv national university, National Academy for Public Administration, schools and local education departaments and ngo   took part in the discussion.

In Otober 28, in Lviv there was a pilot training "From Dialog toward cooperation: education problems  from parents prospective", organized by the Institute for education developmet and Lviv oblast In-Service Teacher-training institute (within the framework of the Prjects "Public support for education reform in Ukraine",  supported by ESP, OSF).

Participators of the training idintify the main problems in cooperation between school and parents: poor state  financing, collecting money from parents, some legal aspects of relation between school and parents. Most of the participants agreed that great amount of the problem could be solved  - what is needed is a strict position of parents and educators in asserting its rights.  

Thaining for parental, sivic activists and teachers of Zhytomyr city will take place in Zhytomyr oblast In-Service Teachers Training Institute in October 28, 2016. Typical problems of schools will be discussed. Trainers will share the  experience of parental community participation in the process of school reform in  the local level. 

Seminar-training "From Dialog toward  cooperation: education problems from parents prospective"  will take place in  Lviv Oblast In-service Teacher Training Institute in October 28th.  Civic activists, parents' NGOs, school represenatives are  invited to participate.
